About Greenstone

Starkey and Stacey Green are animal lovers first, and it came as no surprise when dogs became such an important part of their story. They are proud parents of seven children and five grandchildren. Family is at the heart of everything they do. Their home is full of laughter, activity, hard work, and the kind of love that comes from building a life together—rooted in family, faith, shared passions, and a deep respect for animals.

Early in their marriage, they discovered they make a strong team, using their natural competitive drive to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. In 2001, they started Greenstone and have been working to passionately preserve a breed they care for, always striving for excellence in every chapter of their story.

The Greenstone family continues to grow as Haley and Dylan Gosnell join the team. Haley and Dylan bring fresh energy and share the same core values, fitting naturally into the family mission and helping ensure that Greenstone’s legacy of integrity and heart continues for generations.

Starkey, Stacey, and Haley are all active members of the Heart of Texas Labrador Retriever Club and the Spirit of Texas Sporting Dog Club. While both are honored to serve as AKC judges, some of their favorite moments come from simply working together as a family—children and grandchildren included—lending a helping hand at events and growing up alongside a great dog community they enjoy.

That same spirit of service inspired Stacey to start Kerr County Comfort Dogs, a therapy dog nonprofit operating under Kerr County K9 Recovery & Relief. The program was inspired by the support their dogs provided following a devastating flood, and today it continues to offer hope, encouragement, and comfort to those in need.

Between running their pest control business, serving their community, and keeping up with a big, bustling family, life is a juggling act, but the Greens are never too busy to connect. They always enjoy slowing down to share a story and visit with fellow animal lovers.
